Rock garden at Dartington Hall. See also image JFB 1192 for another view of this. According to Historic England's website account of Dartington Hall and its gardens, the rock garden was developed in the 1920s; from 1941, Dorothy Elmhirst re-planned the slope (clearly visible in image JFB 1192) as a peat garden. Woman in the photograph is currently unidentified.
