This collection of postcard size black & white prints, early 1950s, produced for postcard publisher Charles Skilton - DP6. E.J. Harker, Ladies & Gentlemens hairdresser, 35 Fore Street. Lloyds Bank - 31-33 Fore Street. Lloyds Bank took over from the old Devon & Cornwall Bank in 1906. The old D & C bank (opened 23.10.1933) it was a double fronted C19 building with large gateway and access. Lloyds bank extended the premises in 1916 Mr J.D.Manley was manager of Lloyds Bank for 14 years, retiring in April 1929, and was previously manager of the old Naval Bank. He had lived in Totnes for 45 years Halls butchers, 38 Fore Street.
