Ruby Blanche French (1913 - 1984)

This image was included in a collection of images of the Cave Penney family. The family lived and farmed at Rogues Roost, and lived at Little Roost, Sherwell (Sherril), Poundsgate from about 1907 to 1984. Ruby French was born on 4 March 1913. In 1939, she is recorded as doing 'domestic and farm work' in the household of Peter Hannaford (b.1892), a cousin, who was farming at Sherwell. She died at Newton Abbot on 9 September 1984.
