Mr & Mrs J.Finch

Jack (born 1891 at Harbertonford) and Beatrice Finch (Toby's parents), in the castle grounds. They were married in the Totnes Congregational Church 16.05.1912. He was custodian of Totnes Castle for 23 years fulltime and 5 years part time. Played rugby for Totnes and was a member of Totnes Fire Brigade. Hunting was his favourite pastime with his terrier Twig they were much in demand by the Dart Vale Harriers and South Devon Foxhounds. The TT of October 1970 has a report of the retirement of Jack Finch.
