Open Day at Russell Court. Courtenay Blake with Sidney Williams Russell Court opened August 1966 consisted of 11 flats and 5 bungalows, costing about £60,000 with plans to build another 5 bungalows on the site. This site was formerly known as New Passage, Victoria Street. New Passage came down due to slum clearance and the council asked for the site to be developed catering for young families and retired couples. The brief was given to Messrs Seal and Associates with Mr Neil Jackson the supervising architect.
