Dartington Hall Gardens, 1937. Historic England's website account of Dartington Hall and its gardens says the following: 'The high stone retaining wall south of the Bowling Green backs the ‘Sunny Border' on the third terrace, an herbaceous border originally laid out by the head gardener Stuart Lynch and Dorothy Elmhirst circa 1930 and remodelled in 1985 by Preben Jackobsen.' This image therefore pre-dates that remodelling. The individuals in the photograph are currently unidentified.
