Sybil Smerdon

Josephine Sybil Smerdon was born at Dartington in 1912, the daughter of John Sidney and Mary Parnell Smerdon (born Newman). In the 1921 Census, when she is nine, she is recorded at Forder, South Brent, with her parents, three sisters and others. In this group portrait, she is shown sitting directly in front of the girl, standing, with the white hairband; she is seated in the third row from the front, sixth from the left.
