At the site of former Vale Cottages

The part-finished building, with the roof timbers visible, being built during 2024-25 and intended as live-work accommodation, was photographed on 27 June 2025. It occupies the site of the former Vale Cottages, Totnes (see PRR 0035 and PRR 0062). To the west of it, clearly visible in the image, is a pair of 19th century warehouses, listed as Grade II by English Heritage (later known as Historic England). See also, for example, images BHW 2305, BHW 3601 and others. The previous state of the site can be seen in image LE 0306, just beyond the red wall in that image. Later in 2025, the roof was covered with solar panels (see also the building behind this one).
