Bailey Bridge location

The Bailey bridge, constructed by American forces in March 1944, would have been located to the right of this photograph, which was taken almost exactly 80 years later (mid-March 2024). Those crossing the Fowler Bridge in war-time could not have been aware of the presence of a Bailey bridge. This shows pasture land and the Brutus Bridge.
