U3AP 0008

This is part of a collection relating to a project of the U3A Totnes Photography Group in May 2023. The project, 'Totnes Old and New' was to take an old photo from the Totnes Image Bank and take a new photo of the present view as near as possible from the same viewpoint. The original photo above is a view looking at the edge of the Bridge and Harrisons Garage in 1987. Harrisons had been established in 1913, but in 1988 was moved to purpose built accommodation on the Industrial Estate, and the building was demolished and replaced by the flats shown in the 2023 photograph.
