East Gate

Today, from one of the teaching rooms in the English in Totnes Language School, a view commands Fore Street and another High Street. Fragmented evidence of linen fold panelling can be perceived. And recognising the fact that this space had formerly been a Mechanics Institute with a well-endowed library, wallpaper illustrating shelving and books on display hangs on one wall.
