The Rihlls

Fred, Harry and Ted Rihll, Moretonhampstead, butchers shop. The Rihll family was descended from a Napoleonic French prisoner of war, a watchmaker by trade. The extra 'l' was added to his name to make up 12 numerals. Clocks still exist made by him. They also had a shoe & boot & drapery shop. Harry Rihll was chemist at Moreton & Chagford. DRA 3611 MHS 093
