Jackman family

The Jackman family lived at Uppacott Farm from 1920s and were still there in 1931. The rent was £197.10s a year. They are recorded at Uppacott in the 1921 Census: Rebecca Jackman (widowed), aged 69; Alfred Jackman, aged 30 ('employer'); Ethel Amy Jackman, 33 and Kate Elizabeth Jackman, 25. Ten years earlier, they were at Yardworthy Farm, Chagford, where the 1911 census records that 14 children had been born into the family, of whom 12 were still alive at that time, although not all of them were recorded at Yardworthy in 1911.
