Totnes, Globe Inn, 1902

The group is standing outside the Globe Inn, Totnes, at the junction of Castle Hill and Lower Collins Road. (At the top left are Castle View Terrace and Alpha Terrace.) The banner, flags and decorations suggest this shows celebrations of the Coronation of King Edward VII on 9 August 1902. His image is shown under the window at top right. 'Inhabitants are requested to decorate and illuminate their houses and places of business. By Order of the Coronation Celebration Committee.' (Totnes and South Devon News, 2 August 1902) This is a duplicate of image MK 0001, which is of better (clearer) quality. Image MK 0011 is similar, showing a different group of people in the same place. DRA 0543 MOD 004
