Possibly later 1930s Strete view  to STR 016. Left, corner of blacksmith shop, cottages, then Reading Room. Reading room and adjoining boys club were, along with the schoolroom, the meeting place for all village activities and entertainment pre war. Buildings were destroyed during evacuation in 1944 and site became car park for the Kings Arms. DRA 3775 STR 017
