'Ida" 1930

'Ida' ashore in fog at Prawle Point - September 1930. ss "Ida" wrecked one cable from Prawle Point when she ran aground in thick fog when en route from Cardiff for Portsmouth with a cargo of coal. She was later broken up by the force of the sea. The crew of 12 saved by Prawle Coastguards. DRA 2879 PRAW 003
