London Inn 1903
London Inn, Hallsands, experiends severe damage during storms in March 1902 and again in September 1903. Dredging began for Devonport dockyard for 5 years, until 1902. Gravel dredging (for Devonport dockyard) began in 1897 and by 1900 the beach level was falling drastically. The winter storms of 1902 and 1903 again lowered the level. In the storm of January 1917 the gravel was behind the walls was sucked away and the village was battered and some houses totally demolished. DRA 2558 SK 014
