Brooks family in Fore Street, c.1906

The Stores, Fore Street, Kingskerswell, was a fish shop run by Mr & Mrs Brooks. Mrs Brooks is shown in the doorway with daughter Molly and two of her sons, c.1906. See also image DRA 1825. Molly's youngest son Tom Potter ran the Penguin pub in Newton Abbot for some years. Mrs Brooks eldest daughter Nancy was the grandmother of Bert Mitchell, who was clerk to the Parish Council.
