Cecil Arthur Hunt (1873-1965), c.1882

Cecil Arthur Hunt (1873-1965) of Torquay and Foxworthy, c1882. This was probably taken when he was a pupil at Mrs McLaren's prep shop near Oxford. He later went to Winchester and Cambridge, qualified and practised as a barrister, but later became a watercolour painter. He exhibited many paintings at the Royal Watercolour Society and was its vice-president for several years during the early 1930s. He wrote a history of Foxworthy during WW2. He is shown older, with his sons, in image DRA 1408. DRA 2001 MT 007
