Cudlipp Forge

Uncle Tom, blacksmith at Cudlipp Forge; Jack Anderson, boy with gun (cousin of Tom Cudlipp); Chris Warren of Higher Longcombe holding the horse. Tom joined the Army and trained as a farrier sergeant. He took over the forge from Bryant pre 1914. He and his wife used the blacksmith's cottage as a laundry and lived in Middle Longcombe. The boys collected dirty laundry in pull carts. DRA 1586 BP 045
