Peter & Margaret Carew, 1893

Peter and Margaret, children of Rev and Mrs Henry Carew, in January 1893. Younger brother Jasper killed age 18 on first month (14.10.1914) of WW1. Margaret overworked as war nurse caught fever and died in 1918. Peter married Joyce Fortescue 1919 granddaughter of 3rd Earl Fortescue. Before she died she wrote a book of memoirs of her family and their house called 'Dusty Pages'. Peter wrote a book about the Taylors and Carews called 'Combar Carnival'. DRA 1059 R 061
