Fore Street c1905

Fore Street, Kingskerswell c1905, looking toward Fluder Hill. Central part of street has now been demolished and replaced by bridge over main Torquay road. 'Trott's Seven Stars Hotel' on right was rebuilt on the main road in the mid 960s. The shop on the left remains and the low wall beyond it. Level with the horse and cart is the new iron bridge with road below exposed to view on both sides. With the old archway, cut through the hill, the road below was almost invisible. DRA 0901 KK 001
