R.N.Police Officer 1912

Royal Naval Police Officer 1912 (Mr Luxton of Ipplepen). His was the only non-commissioned rank to wear frock coat and sword. Uniform badges etc, now obsolete. Rank - Master at Arms (chief of Police). Badge - crown encircled by laurels. White trousers and cap-cover of dress uniform - ?photo taken in Summer. DRA 0160 IP 117
