R.G.Rees, 74 High Street - outfitters & drapers. In earlier times, around 1926, the premises at 74 High Street belonged to Day's Restaurant. It was advertised in a tourist guide to Totnes, dated around 1926 and published by Mortimer Bros. for 6d. The advertisement gives the address and notes: 'For Luncheons, Dinners and Teas. Comfortable Bedrooms and every accommodation for Parties, Tourists and Cyclists.' The image comes from an album kindly lent for scanning by Val Coish.
