Heinkel Crash 1941

Scene of the Heinkel lll crash near Totnes 15.02.1941. All four of the German crew lost their lives and were buried in Totnes cemetery and later reinterred in the War Cemetery at Cannock Chase. Shown as a slide show by Totnes Image Bank. See also our "Letter from Aachen". One of these Grammar School boys is Jim Wills (as per his letter to us). However Dennis Trevarthen from Kingsbridge says the three Grammar School boys seen here are Gibson, Thorne and Trevarthen and that they had cycled to the site.
