Dartington Mill 1963
Dartington Mill - January 1963. Lower Tweed Mill - Grade ll listed. This mill took shape after Irish weaver Toby Fitzgerald went to Dartington Hall in 1927 and advocated machine weaving to the Elmhirsts. This purpose built tweed mill was designed by Oswald P.Milne in 1930 and the water wheel was added later (purely cosmetic). Went into liquidation 1989. Reopening in 2008 as offices!
