Romany Cinema 1951

Romany Cinema - Old Temperance Hall behind the Central Hotel in January 1951 stripped of old seats and former projection booth dismantled (looking toward the rear of the hall). Note flimsy support for mobile projectors, replaced by steel up rights and joists supporting reinforced concrete floor to take the weight of two arc projectors and other equipment. Replacement seats in good order obtained from the Regent Cinema, Paignton awaiting fitting. REF: TOTEH 1008 104 01 B8
