Fish Market pre 1823

no. 67/70 P - An earlier typed label stated --- The old Fish Market, Totnes, with the Castle in the background. Painted by Hubert Cornish of Totnes, 1757 – 1823 Presented by the Misses Cornish, 1923. In handwriting – On R is the “Great Conduit� (2 taps) there at least as early as the 17c. This watercolour was removed from an acidic mount and frame. New mount board is claimed to be acid buffered.
