William Cole, c.1910

William Cole was the owner of and miller at Town Mill from 1902 to 1919. He was also the owner of the former bakery in the Butterwalk at 41 High Street, as well as being a town councillor. He built Colebrook Cottages around 1893/4, near the Town Mill, for the mill workers who had to live nearby to maintain the turbine and other machinery.
