Town Mill c1902 with miller William Cole. This building is now the Totnes information Centre and Totnes Image Bank HQ. The nearby Colebrook Cottages were built around 1893/4 by Cole for the mill workers who had to live nearby to maintain the turbine and other machinery. On millers sack is printed - W.COLE, TOWN MILL, TOTNES. The long pole under the lamp on the outside was used for fishing people out of the then unfenced mill leat.
