WAR TIME NURSERY The Borough Engineer intimates that for the past two weeks he has been in touch with the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Labour, and the County Council, in the connection with the erection of a day nursery and after due consideration it has been decided to erect a building at the Borough Park for the purpose. Several sites had previously been inspected and he presented a plan received from the county Architect showing the proposed position of the building. The Council agreed that the site be approved and that the Council loan the site for the purpose during the period of the war. The Town Clerk said he had been informed by the Regional Officer of the Ministry of Health at Bristol that the hut needed for the scheme had already been trucked. Football Club and Rugby Club used these premises before the new Rugby Club was built.
