Bowling Club 1923

Totnes Park Bowling Green - Monday, June 25th 1923 (1928 in Bill's book). Opening of the Bowling Green in the Borough Park by the Mayor & Mayoress Mr & Mrs E.B. Stoyle. Mrs E.B. Stoyle throwing the first Jack. Photographer - W.H.Foot. The cost of the bowling green laid was less than £300. This inaugural opening match between Totnes and Dawlish - Dawlish being the winner. Totnes team consisted of F.G. Edgcumbe, A. Mulah'', H. Kird, E.G.Head, R.N.Armstrong, A.S.Robertson, C. Hulland, J.S.Brook, G .Dowell, S.J .Veasey, H.J.Collins, W.Beer, E.B. Stoyle, E.W. Hayman, D.Fletcher, W.Evans, G.B.French, E.Samuel, F.Horn and C.H.Wellington.
