Studio Theatre, Ashburton - Buckfast Players wanted new home in 1948 -Moyra Babington converts 200 year old barn on her property in West Street. Uncovered oak beams in roof. The theatre had 115 seats  (73 real seats from Torquay Pavilion being reseated). 15 oilstoves for heating and an old beach hut became the box office. Curtains closed on this theatre in 1963.
