St Thomas More's School, East Allington Fallapit - St Thomas More School East Allington. From White's 1850 - W.B.Fortesque Esq, Lord of the Manor - Fallapit House was the family seat for many generations An Elizabethan style mansion. New house erected near the old one c1815 and enlarged 1849. Fallapit was anciently the seat of a family of ite own name whoe heiress married Sir Henry Fortescue - Lord Chief Justice of the Common Pleas in Ireland.
