High Cross House
William Lescaze, American architects first commission was High Cross House, Dartington Hall, built in 1932 as a headmasters residence. Conceived in two related blocks forming a modified "L", with a view over fields to east of Foxhole. Flat rooved with many windows and comfortably equipped. The wet Devon climate was responsible for deterioration and discolour, leaving a lot of maintenance to keep it in proper condition. Listed grade ll* DP3
