Coronation Road 1937
Building of Coronation Road 1936-7, outside the Harris Bacon Factory. Seven Stars Hotel, right and Harrisons Garage on left. Originally known as the Northerly By-Pass Road and opened 29.04.1937. When the Coronation procession returned from Bridgetown via this road, the Mayor, Captain Holdsworth, was asked to name it "Coronation Road". (From TT town council reports) DP BOX 01
