George Hern 1970s

George Hern was born and lived in Cuckoo Cottage, Landscove where he made splines(split pegs)for thatching. This work was carried out in his Cottage in what served as his kitchen. He always had a hand rolled "fag" stuck to his lip. When out and about he wore a black slouch hat.
