Colwell Road 2004

View from Colwell Wood, 2004. Ref 93/11 Colwell Wood was bought by the Woodland Trust in 1997 and the orchard area was planted out in 1998. It is looked after by volunteers. An orchard was created in the 1990s with many varieties of rare apples, pears, plums, damsons, medlar and mulberries. Some from taking cuttings on the Dartington Estateand now possibly represent remaining specimens of their type.
