Tts 25 RAPHAEL TUCK - Doorway to Castle Keep. Church Close is a narrow paved lane running Northwards off High Street betwen No's 17 & 19, alongside St Marys Churchyard - it was widened when several houses were demolished which stood where the railings are. Two nice lamps of gate pillars. The Highways Committee recommended that in future Church-lane be known as Church Close (WT 30.01.1913)
