POSTCARD VALENTINES SERIES 13791 - pre 1895 Fore Street and East Gate. Kindly lent for scanning by John Pennington. TT Mar 1902 - Teignmouth Sanitary Steam Laundry opened a branch office for Totnes at 49 Fore Street under the management of Mr & Mrs Frank Tucker. The laundry won the gold medal for Finery at the Laundry Exhibition, Agricultural Hall, London 1900 in a competition that was open to the world. The laundry was situated in Station Road, Teignmouth, and claimed to be the finest and most up to date in the West of England being fitted with the best English machinery. (In 1927 the freehold premises 49 Fore Street, shop & dweling house, was for sale by auction but withdrawn at £630. In 1910 Unionist Central Committee rooms opened at 49 Fore Street)
