Harrisons Garage, 1998

The main building, the old Harrisons Garage in Totnes, dates between 1790 and 1795. In May 1920, Messrs Harrisons, of the Seven Stars Motor Works & Garage, purchased the spacious store and premises occupied for the last 30 years by Henley & Son of Newton Abbot, and also the adjoining house. The buildings were furnished with up-to-date machinery, converting the premises into a high-class, modern garage and engineering works, thus extending their business. This shows the garage on 3 September 1998, which had incorporated the old toll house. B1/E30/2
