Bogan House, 43 High Street

Bogan House, 43 High Street, is Grade 1 listed. It is a C14 or early C15 two-storey merchant's house and the best-preserved late medieval house in Totnes. The first floor front room with a plaster ceiling is inscribed E.B. and W.B.A, referring to Elizabeth and William Bogan, the latter being Mayor of Totnes, 1580. Note the linen-fold panelling at the top-right of the image.
