New Hydro Project 2015

Weir Hydro Project 2015 Two turbines now in place at the £2m hydroelectric scheme. Archimedes screw power plants shipped over from Holland. A 300 ton crane was used to put them in place, their housing constructed by Dart Renewables. They will be connected shortly and water flowing through them will produce electricity in December and will eventually power 400 homes - KEVICC and on the Atmos site. New fish paths for salmon & trout to open soon.
