Crichel, Totnes

Crichel, Station Road, Totnes, seen from the front. It was later bought by the Catholic Church in the 1950s and was then a home for delinquent boys run by a warden and his wife. Later again it was knocked down and the Roman Catholic Church was built on the site. Dr John Carey Leland Hains (who had a practice in Totnes/Bridgetown and then at Crichel) married Ivy Mary Gwendoline Charles (nee Northington) at her home, the parish church of Long Crichel, Dorset, on 30 April 1894. *** DO NOT REPRODUCE
