Jane Hudson 1940

Jane Hudson, 1940, at the Little Priory (belonged to Mrs Potter.)There was a lovely garden at the end of a gravelled driveway, and an orchard. In the floor of the back room was a trap door with steps down to a secret pasage leading to the Priory. During WW2 when the siren was sounded the family would rush down these steps where barrels of wine had been stores when the monks had the Priory etc.This passage sealed off in 2003 .DO NOT REPRODUCE
