Narrows Arch 1887

Decorated arch for Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee in the Narrows. Plymouth Inn, left. From the Plymouth Inn to Mr Collivers was a triumphal arch extensively decorated and bearing the words "God Save the Queen" in white and red. On the top were large plants and flags and Britannia in statuary. We have a photo of QV Jubilee dated 1897 with an arch going across here, so this must be the 1887 Jubilee.
