King of Tongs visit 1982

King Taufa Ahan Tupon V1 of Tonga with the Queen of Tonga having been met by Mayor Eric Gates and Nancy Gates at the Seymour Hotel steps in July 1981. Prince Lavaka is also in attendance (he was studying at Dartmouth Naval College). These photographs kindly donated by Patrick Gates after his fathers death in 2005.
