Royal Visit 1899

Royal Visit to Totnes 06.07.1899. Duke and Duchess of York came up the River Dart on "Totnes Castle'. Mayor Dr.Gibson and ex-Mayor B.W.Hayman. The 5th (Haytor) Volunteer Battalion Devonshire Regiment formed the guard and the band played. From the Edward Windeatt Collection and lent for scanning from Devon Records Office.
