Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee Celebration 1897. Borough Stocks - Seated in the stocks were Masters J.Warne, G.Pengilly & H.Ackrell with Master Sims in ancient costume mounting guard over them. These stocks were a relic of only 60 years ago. From the Edward Windeatt Collection and lent for scanning from Devon Records Office.
