F.W.Cole, cobblers, 86 High Street, Took over business in 1959 from Mr Strang, also a shoe repairer. Before that Joe Mason, butcher. No.86 High Street. Alec Coles learnt his trade from his grandfather and father at their workshop in Factory Row, Torquay. He came to work here in Totnes after his National Service.
